Credit-risk glossaryPlain-language meaning of the terms used on this page+
The total principal still unpaid on all open loans. It excludes penalties and the separate memo-interest record.
The percentage of outstanding principal linked to loans with an overdue instalment. It measures how much capital is exposed to repayment risk.
PAR 1 covers loans at least 1 day overdue; PAR 7 covers 7 days or more; PAR 30 covers 30 days or more. PAR 30 indicates more serious default risk.
A loan with a repayment delay serious enough to require follow-up. On this dashboard, “At risk” means the oldest unpaid instalment is 8–30 days overdue.
The number of days since the oldest unpaid instalment became due. It determines the loan’s ageing and risk category.
A repayment that was not fully paid by its due date. A delinquent loan is therefore an overdue loan.
A month-by-month view showing whether PAR 1 and PAR 30 are rising or falling. Rising percentages mean repayment quality is worsening.
A grouping based on the oldest unpaid due date: current, 1–7, 8–30, 31–60, 61–90 or 91+ days.
The entire unpaid principal of a loan that has entered a PAR category—not only the missed instalment.
The instalments already due but unpaid, including any applicable default penalty. This differs from the full principal exposed.
The customer follow-up list, ranked by delay and overdue amount, so collection action can begin with the highest-risk cases.
A loan with no instalment past its due date. Future scheduled repayments may still remain outstanding.
